What is the aim of Girl Guides?
Through fun, friendship, challenge and adventure we empower girls to find their voice, inspiring them to discover the best in themselves and to make a positive difference in their community. More than 240,000 girls already meet regularly as Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers.

How do you get Girl Guide badges?
You can earn badges for each program area and each theme, across every Guiding branch. You can earn as many as 28 program badges at every branch level. Program area badges are earned once you have earned two theme badges in a particular program area.
Do guides do badges?
Our exciting, adventurous activities and badges make up our programme of what girls do in guiding. Our programme is the foundation of what girls do in guiding. There’s a huge range of activities to try, plenty of badges to earn and loads of ways to develop new skills.
Where do you sew Girl Guide badges?
Where do Guide badges go? Promise badge – Needs to go on the left-hand side of their uniform top, closest to the heart. Interest badges, awards and skills builders – Guides can choose where they would like to put badges on their uniform top or dress.
How do girls wear their guides uniform?
Steps to wear your full uniform neatly
- (01) Your world badge should be placed on the left side, ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE.
