Lake Mead is great for water sports, skiing, fishing, or scuba diving, but it does not hold a candle to Lake Powell in the scenery department. Much more geologic sights on Lake Powell. Rainbow Arch is quite the view. Ignoring the intangibles Lake Powell would be my choice.
Is Lake Mohave safe to swim in?
