Why is MechaCon ending?
– Louisiana’s largest and longest-running grassroots fan convention, MechaCon, will close its doors for the final time at 5pm on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Due to several factors, including changes in the overall fan convention landscape, MechaCon is finalizing its long run in 2020.
Will SDCC 2021 happen?
San Diego Comic-Con 2021 set to take place November 26-28 at convention center. “Comic-Con Special Edition” is slated to take place Nov. 26-28 at the San Diego Convention Center. Comic-Con@Home is scheduled to take place July 23-25.

Are Fake guns allowed at Comic Con?
Metal barbed wire, swords, knives, throwing stars and claws are not permitted at Comic-Con. Realistic prop guns and costume swords must be tethered to a costume. Costume guns that look like they are from another universe can be carried by cosplayers.
