1. Badges on sleeves should be centred on the outside of the sleeve, not facing forwards as the diagram suggests.
2. For Staged Activity badges, only the highest level award for each activity should be worn.
3. For Leadership Stripes, only the highest level should be worn.

Are Scout badges iron on?

You can use an iron to attach a Boy Scout patch if you do not want to sew. Some Scout masters require Scouts to sew their patches on, but even if the patches end up having to be sewn around the edges, ironing them on will secure them in position before sewing.

There are really only 4 resaonable ways to attach a patch to your merit badge sash:

1. Sew the badge on by hand (super tough, not recommended)
2. Apply an inexpensive cutout adhesive (My favorite method, I’d suggest using Badge Magic)
3. Use an iron-on sheet.
4. Use a hot glue gun (works best in a pinch!)

Just take a glue gun to those beautiful boy scout patches instead of sewing. It totally works! It takes a fraction of the time and I have washed my sons uniform at least 10 times and the patches look the same as when I glued them.
