How are double basses made?
The double bass is usually made from wood. Double basses have a hollow wooden body which helps to amplify the sounds of the instrument . A wooden neck is attached to the body, and a flat wooded fingerboard is glued onto the neck. It usually has four metal strings which are strung with tension on the neck.

The string bass or double bass has its roots in the 1500s, when it was developed in Italy’s Brescia and Cremona regions to complete the lowest part of the register in the violin family, just below that of the cello.
Why is the bass player always on the left?
Normally ( although not in all situations) the singer and guitarist are taking cues from each other on stage, and the guitarist is giving cues to the rest of the band. As a guitarist myself I like being on the left as well for the same reason. I feel more comfortable “communicating” with the band from that position.
Is Bass more fun than guitar?
I find bass more fun to play because you can do so much more on it compared to a guitar. You can lay down a foundation thick enough for everyone to stand upon. Or you can go wild shred around in both lows and highs. You might say “but you’ve got higher octaves on a guitar”.

Why is bass so overrated?
It doesn’t sound good and you can’t even hear the words half the time because they’re drowned out by obnoxious static-y vibrations you can feel in your liver. I understand putting it up a little bit but maxing out bass and leaving everything else is just absurd and ruins music of all genres.
Are Fender basses overrated?
Fenders are overrated. They are plenty good, but you can get better specs from other basses at the same price. Of course Fenders kick their ass in resale value, but the bass isn’t any better for it.
