What is often seen sitting on a buffalo?
Those egrets are called cattle egrets. They sit on the buffalo so they can easily see what kinds of critters get roiled up by the hooves of the buffalo. It’s a symbiotic relationship: the buffalo lets the bird sit on its back and the bird gets food stirred up by the buffalo.
