Which is better push or pull radiator fan?
Electrical fans can either push air through the radiator or pull air through it. A pusher fan sits in front of the radiator. When a vehicle is moving, a pusher fan can obstruct airflow due to its positioning in front of the radiator. Puller fans provide more cooling capacity than pusher fans.
Is radiator better than fan?
According to Mark Gallina, liquid cooling more “efficiently distributes heat over more convection surface area (radiator) than pure conduction, allowing for reduced fan speeds (better acoustics) or higher total power.” In other words, it’s more efficient, and often quieter.
Do radiator fans make good case fans?
They’re not good only for radiators, they just better for move air through restrictions, such as radiators or drive cages. They also function perfectly fine as case fans, but if the air flow is not restricted, AF fans will work better.
Can you put different fans on AIO?
You could definitely do that. If you use an AIO, chances are, there is software that allows you to control the PWM fans that come stock with the AIO, so if you replace the 4 pin stock radiator fans with 3 pin fans, you lose the ability to control the speed of those fans.
Can I put any fans on my AIO?
you should be 100% fine useing case fans as AIO fans, just make sure you check your temps to see if u are happy with them, and it would not hurt to use Good case fans. (CoolerMaster) (Corsair) (Noctua) and Adjust the case Fan speed with the Speed Fan software.
Can you put any fan on a AIO radiator?
Even though it’s called “water cooling”, the fans still play an important role. Radiators can basically use any fan. Any fan will move some air and the water cooling loop will work.
How much static pressure do I need for radiator fan?
A typical radiator core has around 7-15 mm H2O of static pressure when the fans are pulling air through them depending on its thickness. A thicker radiator will inherently have a higher static pressure unless some trickery is done with fin heights and louver details.
Do I need case fans if I have liquid cooling?
Yes, yes you do. The liquid carries heat away from hot components, to a radiator that removes it from the water and puts it in the air. You actually need MORE case fans, with higher static pressure for water cooling effectively.
Can you use an AIO without fans?
You NEED a fan in an AIO to cool the water in the radiator. Since its an AIO, it should come with a fan so youll be goooood!
Can I buy a Corsair AIO without fans?
Unfortunately, that is not possible, all AIO come with fans.
Can a CPU cooler work without a fan?
yes right.,.. I think running a i5-7500 without a fan blowing (from case or mounted on to of heatsink) is a great way to find yourself.. ” do I really want to waste 300$ of cpu for a 12$ fan ..
