Which medium is best for drawing?
Drawing paper is a heavier, and better-quality paper than sketching paper. It is commonly used for sketching and finished work. The ideal mediums used with drawing paper are graphite, charcoal, dry monochromes, soft pastel, oil pastel, markers and pen and ink.
Is it better to draw with pen or pencil?

Why mechanical pencils are better?
The great thing about mechanical pencils is that they stay the same length, making it easier to get a consistent grip and promoting good writing habits. The erasers on regular pencils are generally bigger than those on mechanical pencils, but not by much.
Why wooden pencils are bad?
The biggest virtue of a wooden pencil is that, well, it’s not made out of plastic. That means it takes less energy to produce the raw pencil material. Over time, the wooden pencil will eventually become a pile of shavings that can hypothetically be composted.
