I did learn that the Abilene is a low-end guitar by Samick, but a few reviewers said that, for a low-end guitar, the Abilene has a very nice sound. I’ve also seen some good reviews on Sigma by Martin, and there is one listed on Craigslist for $150. I have learned about some of the disadvantages of solid wood guitars.
