The reason people hate modern SpongeBob is because the main characters are selfish, annoying, arrogant, and offensive, specifically Patrick, SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs. I love almost every episode, and would consider that since SpongeBob is the oldest, and greatest Nicktoon ever, to just respect said opinion.
