The University of Pittsburgh is great for a student who knows exactly what he/she wants to do, or someone who really has no idea, like I was. There are so many opportunites and an enormous variety of classes. There are also many extra-curricular activities, volunteer and research opportunities, clubs and Greek life.

Another thing that makes Pitt’s campus unique is that it is so close to other schools (CMU and Duquesne). Besides that, not much. The cathedral of learning. It’s one of the tallest and nicest academic buildings in the country.

Per a conversation with Pitt’s Office of Admissions, they will now receive students’ Common App personal statement, but they will again have short answer questions, though now as supplemental essays.
