We have timed entry for TXU Energy presents Zoo Lights this year. Once you arrive, you are welcome to enjoy Zoo Lights until closing at 10:30 p.m. Please note that Zoo Lights hours are 5:30-10:30 p.m., with last entry at 9:30 p.m.

Can you see the animals at Houston Zoo Lights?

During the nightly event, the zoo animals settle down for their long winter’s nap, and the star attraction is the lights. To see the zoo’s animals, guests are encouraged to visit the Houston Zoo during regular daytime hours.

Can I bring a stroller to the Houston Zoo?

You can rent strollers, scooters, wheelchairs and wagons to help you get around the Zoo. Wi-fi is available in select areas. Check our rules for what you can or can’t bring into the Zoo.

Can you leave the zoo and come back?

Yes, you can leave and come back. You will need to have your hand stamped when you leave, and show the hand stamp when you re-enter.
