What does it mean to be a CPA candidate?
Anyone who has an accounting major can pretty much be a CPA candidate. It’s one thing to put that you’ve passed all of your CPA exams and are just getting your experience to be certified. It’s another to put that you’re a “CPA Candidate”.
Is a CPA respected?

Does it matter where you get your CPA?
While it doesn’t matter where you physically take the CPA Exam, the requirements to sit for the exam can vary by state. The exam requirements in the jurisdiction in which you apply to take the exam will apply.
Which states do not require work experience for CPA?
The only state that does not currently require 150 hours for the CPA license is the U.S. Virgin Islands jurisdiction. Currently, the U.S. Virgin Islands jurisdiction allows you to become a CPA with a bachelor’s degree that includes at least 120 semester hours of education.
Why do you need 150 credits for CPA?
As all of you know, the 150-hour credit requirement has been touted as a way to ensure modern CPAs are equipped to handle an ever-changing world. Requiring extra education before licensure makes for more well-rounded, capable CPAs, or at least that’s how it’s supposed to work on paper.

Can I extend my CPA NTS?
Answer: There is no provision for withdrawing from the examination and/or requesting an extension of your current NTS. If you have an extreme circumstance (such as military deployment or medical emergency), you may apply for an NTS extension or a partial refund of your examination fees under specific circumstances.
How many times can you take the CPA?
You are able to retake the CPA Exam as many times as you would like, but only take each section one time per testing window.
