Should I put rims on my car?

Do rim sizes matter?

Can I replace 16 inch rims with 17 inch?

Can big rims mess up transmission?
For example, wheels that are much larger than the car’s original set could have a negative effect on the transmission by causing it to work harder than normal in order to turn the axles and move the car. Eventually, this could cause premature transmission failure.
Can I have two different size rims on my car?

Is it bad to have 2 different sets of tires?

Do all 4 rims have to be the same?
As long as you replace the rim with one that is mostly similar to the other rim the balance should not be affected at all. Tires (and rims) are balanced on a per tire basis.
