The following document was made as a practice of social research in the subject of Techniques of Social Research II Degree in Sociology (UNED) in April 2011.

This social research project on suicide takes as its starting point and builds the body theoretically starting from the paper of The suicide of Emile Durkheim, at the same time performed a secondary analysis on official statistics and various publications empirical on the current situation of the phenomenon that represents the suicide. You do not have intention the second thing we must rebut first. It has been found in most of today’s discourses on the suicide that in most cases they are used up there was some kind of mental pathology, which requires us to do a reanalysis on the first part of the research of Durkheim, with the purpose of observing the relations that are the conditions of psychic and social phenomena that cause them. For this reason, it seems appropriate to frame the phenomenon of suicide on the psychosocial perspective.
