Can civil engineer become an architect?
The legal answer is, in most states in the US, no. In all jurisdictions the law defines an Architect as a person who is licensed by the state to practice architecture. By definition then, a Civil Engineer is not and cannot be an Architect until he is licensed as such. He cannot practice architecture either.
