How do you change a Mercedes parking sensor?
Unclip or remove any bolts that hold the bumper in place. Mercedes-Benz uses plastic retainers and 10mm bolts, but Torx head bolts are used in some models. Reach to the back of the bumper and remove the sensor by pressing the two locking tabs. Press the new sensor into place, and plug in the electrical connector.

Why is my parking sensors beeping?
Proximity alert relies on sensors that are strategically placed around the body. Many times, this will solve your problem: The sensor has been obstructed with dirt or snow and needs to be wiped clean. If the alert is still beeping, there may be an electric issue in the system.
Can you spray reversing sensors?
Aftermarket sensors usually come with instructions regarding painting so it’s probably ok. Why not ask a BMW dealer if it’s advisable. Ultrasound travels through paint ok but it may reduce the sensitivity of the sensors slightly.
Why are my car sensors not working?
