Looking Glass & Constellations
- With the Looking Glass in hand right-click and look into the sky, a box will pop up which is zoomed into the sky.
- Once you have found a Constellation, exit out of the telescope (don’t move) and open your Tome.
- When you look at the sky without a Looking Glass you will be able to see the Constellation you discovered.

When you can find the brightest point in the night sky, you can orient yourself and find constellations. You can also use the constellations to find the North Star. The easiest constellation to find is the Little Dipper. It’s shaped like a bowl with a handle.

Once you are attuned you will be able to discover NEW Constellations. Simply by looting Constellation Paper you get from chests you can discover seven new Constellations. Unlike the basic Constellations, you will not be able to bind yourself to these, but you can bind Crystals to these.

The Scroll of Written Expertise is an item added by Astral Sorcery. It is used to transfer the knowledge a player has acquired to another player. When it is crafted it is “blank”—right-clicking on it will take the knowledge of the player holding it and save it onto the Scroll.

Constellation Papers are an item found in shrine chests. When held, if there are undiscovered available constellations to the player holding the paper, it will fill in with an undiscovered constellation. If all constellations available to the player have been discovered, it will not fill in with a constellation.

Dim constellations are only visible after a player has attuned themselves to a constellation. Rock and Celestial Crystals can be attuned to these constellations. Faint constellations are only visible to an attuned player using an Observatory. However, they can be used to augment the rituals of other constellations.

- You can then drag and drop the correct kind of Shrine from the icons on the right.
- The Sextant is not just used for finding Shrines.
How do I get Starmetal Astral sorcery?
Setting down some Iron ore near a Collector Crystal, you can use the Linking Tool to link the Collector Crystal to the ore. Over time this ore will change into Star Metal Ore. We can smelt this into a Starmetal Ingot and in turn this can be ground down (on the grinder) into 3 Stardust.
