Is Deseret industry taking donations?

You do not need to be a member of The Church of Jesus Church of Latter-day Saints to be employed as an associate or to donate and shop at Deseret Industries.
Does the DI wash their clothes?
The DI encourages donations of “gently used” clothing, but clothing that does come in with stains or tears is used. It’s cleaned then shredded and used to stuff blankets and pillows at the LDS church’s humanitarian center. That is not to say that absolutely everything that is donated to the DI finds a new use

Does the DI take socks?
When making donations please remember that used socks are not fit for donation. Doing so will enable the workers at D.I. to process more of the usable clothes that are donated and help more people

Visit a Savers Community Donation Centre today. Savers accepts donations of used goods on behalf of nonprofits, and purchases those goods from the nonprofit, providing them with unrestricted revenue.
