How long does it take for a tea tree to grow?
It will take about three years before the tea plants reach maturity. This means that you won’t be able to harvest leaves during this time. Once the plant reaches about 3 feet (1 meter), it should be ready for harvest.
Are there different types of tea tree?
There are two main varieties of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. The Chinese variety, Camellia sinensis sinensis, has a small leaf and is more tolerant of cold weather.
