How are Halloween costumes measured?
It’s important to measure over the excess clothing so that the costume fits appropriately. Chest: measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest. Waist: measure around your natural waist, which is generally the same level as your belly button.
Do Halloween costumes run small?
While dress/clothing sizes are provided in US sizes, the sizes for seasonal costumes tend to run small. If in doubt between two sizes, it’s usually best to order the larger size as sizes for seasonal costumes tend to run small.
Do Spirit Halloween sizes run small?
A: Most of our costumes run smaller than the standard clothing size. We also have a 14 day return policy, so if you are still unsure you can purchase both sizes to try on and return the size no longer needed for a refund.
Do Halloween stores sell colored contacts?
Brick-and-mortar stores like Party City, Spirit Halloween, Target, and Walmart do not sell colored contacts.
Can you try stuff on at Spirit Halloween?

Does Spirit Halloween let you try on costumes?
Since you’ll always pay shipping fees and you can’t get a refund on them if you decide to return your items, it’s worth a trip into a Spirit Halloween store. Plus, you can try your costume on in the fitting room and hopefully avoid returns altogether!
How do you make a bat for Halloween?
Use a pencil to trace the bat shape onto a piece of black craft foam then cut it out (Images 3 and 4).
