Where is an earthworms mouth?
(The mouth of the worm is just behind the prostomium.) Worms swallow pieces of dirt and decaying leaves, and the food passes through the pharynx, (located in body segments 1-6), the esophagus (segments 6-13), and into the crop, which stores food temporarily.
Do worms have two brains?
In most annelids (segmented worms) such as the earthworm, two cerebral ganglia (bundles of nerve cells) form a primitive bilobed brain, from which sensory and motor nerve fibres lead to other areas of the body.
Do earthworms have ears?
Earthworms don’t have ears, but they can sense vibrations in the soil.
How long does it take an earthworm to drown?
This is not possible for earthworms as they lack lungs. Multiple studies have also shown that most earthworm species can survive being submerged in water for two weeks or more.
Can worms survive being cut in half?
If an earthworm is split in two, it will not become two new worms. The head of the worm may survive and regenerate its tail if the animal is cut behind the clitellum. But the original tail of the worm will not be able to grow a new head (or the rest of its vital organs), and will instead die.

Can Worms see or hear?
Sensory Lack Worms have no external ears, so their sense of touch and vibration receptors compensate for their lack of hearing. Worms also have no eyes, so they cannot see their surroundings.
