Why is my air suspension not working?
One of the most common air suspension problems is a leaking air spring. When there’s a leak, the compressor will keep running. On top of that, if there’s a leak in the air springs, the height of the vehicle will drop or it will sag on the side where the damaged air spring is.

Why is my check suspension light on?
The most common reason for the Check Air Suspension light is a faulty or non-functioning air compressor. When the air compressor doesn’t work, the air springs don’t fill and the light comes on.
Can you drive with a broken air suspension?
No. It is not recommended. A damaged or collapsed spring can cause sagging and noise and affect alignment angles. While you can still drive, the ride will be rough and the car will be difficult to control in an emergency.
How do you check air suspension?
How do you know if your system is Air Ride Suspension working or has no issues:
- The car is simply in the position it should be.
- Spray the rubber boots with a soapy water mix; if it bubbles anywhere you have a leak.
- Also spray fittings, if you see bubbles this too is an indication of leaking.
Do air shocks make noise?
One of the most noticeable symptoms of a potential problem with the compressor is abnormal noises during operation. If you hear any sort of abnormal sounds, such as excessively loud clicking, whining, or grinding, then that may be a sign of a problem with the compressor’s motor or fan.
What do Failing shocks sound like?
When going over various bumps, speed bumps, or potholes and your hear a knocking sound, it likely means you have worn shock absorbers. All it would take is for a crack to form in the rubber bushing and it will result in a tapping or knocking sound that you can hear each time you hit a bump while driving.
