Will car rims fit on a trailer?
I don’t recommend using trailer wheels for vehicles as that is not safe, however you can use vehicle rims on a trailer if they fit properly. What’s the difference between a trailer rim and a car rim?
A trailer has a zero offset to promote even tread wear as a trailer’s loads are usually heavier than that of the vehicle’s. The difference in offset between a vehicle’s wheel and a trailer’s wheels id going to lead to improper tire placement. Specifically the wheel is going to stick out too far.
Can you put truck rims on a car?
Sure, as long as they fit your existing rims and are about the same size as our existing tires. I just put on a set of 4 snow/ice tires on my sedan which are more popular on SUV/truck/4X4; no problems whatsoever. Of course! That is if they fit… you might need new rims, but then they might not fit in the wheelwell.
